August 15 is a special day in Italy. It is celebrated nationwide on the beaches and in the mountains in any location one can find space to stretch their legs. My family celebrated it this year by going to our favorite beach in Puglia near Gallipolli given the name Lover’s Beach.
Hidden behind a small wildlife reserve you can find beautiful blue and green water. This Ferragosto the waves were low and though we thought we were early arriving at 8 AM, there were already few places on the edge of the water where we could set up our umbrella.
